How long will the process take?

Every deal has it own lifecycle. We'll give you a good indication right at the outset - but we can't give you a guarantee.

When does the clock start - pre-sale grooming and investment readiness? All we know is it finishes when you close your deal.

You should plan on up to one year for grooming, and another six months for marketing, negotiating and closing a deal.

You have a considerable influence over these timescales in your willingness to prepare carefully, diligently and thoroughly for the sale.

As a rule of thumb every day spent preparing for the sale before marketing saves a week post marketing. This is part of the way we add value, by taking the pressure off you and we manage this process for you.

You must hit your financial targets and keep the business performing well. Remember that the business is "your baby" - we can be objective and dispassionate, therefore being focused on value maximisation for you.

No matter how long it takes, we will support you until your deal is done.
